ALTAR FRONTAL AND SUPERFRONTAL
An altar frontal of white and dark green chenille with a floral pattern. The main fabric is superimposed with six orphreys of mid green damask with a floral design, evenly spaced vertically. Each orphrey has superimposed braid bands, of green and gold-colour, on the left and right. On the reverse is an embroidered label reading 'THE WARHAM GUILD LTD'. An integral super frontal to match the design above is attached at the top to a suspension band of cream coloured close weave linen.
COMMUNION CUP
Deep bucket shaped bowl with trumpet shaped stem and 2-stepped foot with flattened hollow base.
Around the bowl, in formal italic script with some flourishing, is the inscription "The Gift of Laetitia Winniatt; To the Parrish of Sallorshope (sic) in ye County of Hereford".
PULPIT
Two sided oak pulpit built after the 1885 restoration of the church, re-using 17th century Jacobean panels, possibly from a box pew. Each side has recessed panels.
The top sections are decorated with a diamond shaped raised lozenge in the centre of each panel and the lower panels are plain. Two steps lead to a boarded floor and there is an integral newel post.
It is surmounted by a preaching desk and a two branched metal candelabrum is fixed to the Pulpit ledge.
FONT AND COVER
Font
A plain bucket shaped 12th century sandstone font with straight sloping sides. The rim has been slightly chamfered inside and out but is rather irregular. There are two lock marks where the staples have been cut off, and a double drain hole but no plug.
Cover
A large modern architectural wood cover in two stages, a base and a buttressed spire. An octagonal base with a moulded rim, divided on the top with eight wheel spokes, resting on each spoke is an arching buttress. Carved onto the buttresses are curious fish-like creatures, the buttresses rise to form the spire.
CHANCEL WINDOW, South wall
Mid 14th century window, restored in 1885.
Stonework: A two-centred arch, with splayed reveals, flat sill with chamfered edge. A window of two trefoil-headed lancets with rounded shoulders and pointed central foil and a tracery light of a quatrefoil with rounded foils to compass points except for south where the foil is pointed.
Main lights: A narrow border of opaque glass surrounds quarries in pale shades of blue and yellow. The central foils have a design around a central opaque vesica shape. The foil atop the right lancet has a symmetrical design of a yellow crown on each side, each crown having fine lines indicating the interior curves.
The foil at the top of the left lancet is surrounded by a collection of fragments. To the right is a crown as described for the right foil, but upside down.
Quatrefoil: Pattern similar to the main lights but with opaque and pale yellow quarries. The blue and yellow squares at the base could be part of the Whittington arms re-set.
CHURCHYARD CROSS / WAR MEMORIAL
A 15th century three-stage Churchyard cross and 20th century War Memorial. Restored in memory of the men in the parish who gave their lives in the Great War, when the original shaft and cross were remade.
Cross and Shaft: A Latin cross with octagonal limbs each with two crockets, one on either side. The cross joins the shaft at a decorative moulded boss. The shaft increases in diameter to the insertion point in the socket stone.
Socket Stone: A large single stone block with chamfered shoulders. A central square aperture accepts the base of the shaft. On one side is the Memorial plaque.
Stepped Base: Three tiers of single courses, large dressed stone blocks, only two tiers now visible.
BIBLE
Bound in black rexine. The words 'Holy Bible' are inscribed on spine in gold-coloured roman caps.
On fly is the inscription 'Presented to Sutton Maddock Church by William Jones Stockton 1866'.
HARMONIUM
A flat top cottage style reed organ positioned on the North side of the Nave.
CASE: Varnished oak. Above the console a three-section fall is attached to the lid. Attached to the inside of the first section is a fixed fret-work music desk. On the second section is a retailer’s label Heins & Co.
CONSOLE: The single key board has 61 keys FF to f4.
STOPS: There are 11 draw stops arranged in a horizontal line, in a four - two – five configuration.
PEDALS: Two inclined rectangular pedals are positioned in a sloping pedal box at the base of the front panel.
